Vive la Révolution!

Today is a day of several anniversaries. Nine years ago today the Angry Baker and I rolled into Ellesiouville with a sick dog, three very angry cats and a tankful of gerbils. We turned the key in the door of our new house, and began the best and most difficult chapter of our lives together. Precisely two years later, after a night of revelry, we conceived our beautiful daughter. Our daughter, the Angry Kid, is not named Macallan, although she probably should be.

Bonne fête, mes amours! Je vous aimerai toujours.

The fireworks over the Eiffel tower this year were spectacular. I just arrived back at my hotel room from that. Wow.

Macallan. Yes. I only just last week scandalized some G&T-sipping colleagues with that noble drink.

The Macallan Gran Reserva 2002 ~ reveling with the finest never fails and gives one reason to celebrate year after year!

Ah, Joie de Fete! (Which may...or may not...be French for MAZEL TOV!) May there be three times three more decades of delight. NOTE: I'm mathematically-challenged, interpret that as "many years". I feel confident that the dog recovered, the cats settled in - and Angry Kids are all to the good.

Your 21 year commitment is an example to all of us. Many couples domestic or married do not last that long. My wife and I will 30 years together on 7/21.
