Dear Angry Prof,
Do your physician friends know about your bloody-minded attraction to 1960s medicine? Have they ever used the phrase 'preventative medicine' or 'disease prevention' in your hearing?
Allergy treatment can, and should, start Before your symptoms are worst, so that your immune system is all healthy when the insult occurs. There are so many different possible interventions that the comments on here didn't cover. Some are prescription, some not, some better for certain types of allergy symptoms, plus you can find out what works best for you.
