The Angry Predator now weighs approximately a kilo, up from 400 g. He will be 8 weeks old in a few days, and now looks more like a cat than a kitten. His favorite game is Killing Things. In particular, he enjoys killing shoelaces, hands, ponytails, and electrical cords. He also enjoys the Pounce on the Angry Dog game. The Angry Dog is being very patient, as patient as an old dog who hates cats can be.

Angryprof, we've got the exact same situation at our house- young cat annoying the old dog. She just barely tolerates the cat, and sometimes she'll lose it and snap at the cat or bark at it.
One of the most vile things the cat did to her was to climb a tree while the dog was taking a crap and leap down onto the dog's back. The cat was lucky enough that the dog was completely stunned and didn't react in time to make the cat breakfast.
Our 5 lb. cat, Lego, terrorizes our 52 lb. dog, Mitzi. Lego had been in our home for 2 years before Mitzi arrived, and she saw it as nothing more than an infringement on her sovereignty. She has yet to yield even an inch of ground in her war against The Dog.
She's so cute! And killing things is what all good kitties do. When we took in our youngest cat, she was so rowdy she wen after all the usual things, and mouths when we were speaking, and once - she attacked my *eye* because I blinked. Hey, it was moving! Glad to see AP is doing so well.

Kittens are kittenish. They do grow out of it, but I'm glad I'm 20 times my cat's size.
My 65 lb. dog once squeezed herself through a dog door made for a 20 lb. dog, in hot pursuit of a cat passing by. I don't think there will be any kittens in (or around) our home any time too soon!
Angry predator is quite adorable.
Killing Things is lots of fun, and one of the best things to kill is the foot of someone who turning in his sleep. Great kitten, he's clearly thriving. Go easy on the Angry Dog when he finally loses it and snaps at AP.

William, ditto. I think my cats love me: they may just see me as staff. Either way, I'd be in deep excrement if either of them were half my size.
AP is very cute, Prof.
That's a very scary and dangerous looking angry kitty. Were I a spider or a shoelace, I'd think twice about appearing in his sight!
But also, way cute.
Aww. The angry predator makes for a very cute kitten. When he gets up to the proportions of my Totoro (14lbs) do let us know.
In the domain of things he will try to slay, try a laser pointer. He will likely love it, and it is wonderful to watch.
Ohhh! Adorable kitteh! And Angry Dog is being so sweet & patient.
Did you find a home for the Angry Predator, or is he now ensconced in your house? Well, I send a friendly skritch, skritch.
If you use a laser pointer to entertain a cat (or dog), it is best to have a definate end to the game. Don't just turn it off, or the critter will be looking for it everywhere. Instead, have it go outside by sliding under the closed door. Or, have it go back "home" by moving across the floor or table, and into the laser pointer.

Don't forget his other favorite activity, Kill Angry Fern Inside for the Winter.
Aw, what a splendid Angry Predator.
http://xkcd.com/231/ is still true around these parts, and I presume (and hope) with your household as well.
Comfort to the ElderDog.
